Purpose built premises at this nursery allow for children to freely flow from one room to another, giving them independence and ability to choose own activities. There are three age groups – babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. However, throughout the day children mix with older and younger friends – this enables them to learn from each other as well as from adults. The ratios are always maintained to ensure safety of all the children – 1:3 (babies), 1:4 (toddlers), 1:8 (pre-school).
In addition, children also have free flow access to outdoors every day. A large outdoor area completed with variety of surfaces (grass, safety matting) allows for children to explore and observe natural world. Some of the play area also has a cover, which allows for children to access outdoor play in all kinds of weather, and even watch the pouring rain!
Additionally, the children benefit from separate open space area for their meal times where they can start to prepare for school and meal times in larger groups. Healthy snacks of fruit and vegetables are served every day and children have access to milk and water throughout the day and at meal times.
We often organise dress up and fun days, and even workshops or activity classes for parents. The nursery has its own lending library, and we encourage each child to take a book home every weekend. The nursery provides flexible childcare sessions – mornings, afternoons, full days as well as regular or ad hoc hourly bookings. We also can provide specific contracts for parents who work on a shift pattern, rolling rota or term time. NHS, Emergency services and sibling discounts are available.
